Since I enjoyed A Rogue by Any Other Name so much, I jumped straight into One Good Earl Deserves a Lover. And I loved it even more than the first book.

Pippa, Penelope’s younger sister, is a bespectacled scientist and a bit of an oddball who’s resigned herself to the fact that society will never accept her. But Pippa is also adorable in her innocence and fierce intelligence, so she won me over in the last book.

Pippa is engaged to marry a nice but dull man named Castleton, and she is determined to “research” that whole sex thing (or “coitus,” as she so delightfully refers to it) before she says her marriage vows. In the 21st century, that wouldn’t be such an odd thing to do, but in the 19th, it’s practically certifiable. So what’s a girl to do, when the internet doesn’t exist?
